Terms and Conditions

 

Arrival & Departure

 

Accommodation will be ready for new arrivals from 3pm. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier to drop off any bags. We ask that departing guests vacate their rooms by midday. We will happily store luggage for you both before and after your stay. Late check out options are available at an extra cost.

 

Deposit & Cancellation

Where a deposit has been paid, the full payment has to be settled three weeks ( 21 days ) prior to the arrival date.

​

No deposit required if booking our flexible rates – only a credit or debit card to secure the booking. If you cancel or alter your booking within 3 days of the date of arrival (or within the specified terms to your particular chosen package), the full rate for each night of the reservation will be charged.

We require 7 day cancel for any peak dates, i.e. Festival, Rugby or other big events.

Non-package reservations over Christmas and New Year are cancellable, free of charge, up to 21 days prior to arrival in 2021. As of  2022,

Christmas and Hogmanay packages require a £600 deposit on booking, which is refundable until 31 October. No cancellations are allowed after this date. Full pre-payment required by 16 November.

When booking a non-refundable package or advance purchase rate the full rate of the stay will be charged on booking and can be refundable prior to 21 days of arrival. As of 2022, these rates will be non-refundable and non-modifiable as of booking.

Booking St Martins House at a time will trigger a group cancellation policy. We recommend that individual travel insurance is taken in order to avoid cancellation charges.

If redeeming a gift voucher, please note that the entire value of the voucher will be forfeited if the reservation has to be cancelled within our 3 days cancellation period.

Dogs

 

If travelling with your dog, please let us know at the time of booking over the

phone or via email and we ensure an appropriate room is reserved. Please note, not all our

rooms are dog friendly and are subject to availability. We only accept 1 dog per room. An additional charge of £30 per night will be charged, this will include a dog bed, food and treats as well and useful information about the local area.

 

Valuables

 

There is a personal safe in in the office; however, St Martin's House is not able to accept responsibility for your valuables. We advise you not to leave valuables in your car. Please note that we are not held responsible for loss or damage of valuables or the car when parked in our guest car parks.

 

CANCELLATIONS

As we are a small business, late cancellations and no-shows really affect our business, therefore our deposit and cancellation policy is as follows:

​

  • We require a deposit equal to one night’s stay that will be charged to your credit card upon booking, the deposit is non-refundable.

  • If you would prefer, you can make a deposit or bank transfer for the equivalent to one night’s room charge and send us a copy of the deposit voucher or transfer receipt within 5 days of making the reservation.

  • We will automatically cancel any reservation for which we do not receive either a valid credit card or notification of payment within 5 days.

  • During peak periods, the deposit will be equal to 50% of the reserved stay.

  • More than 30 days’ notice – full refund less £25.00 administration fee.

  • 14 days or less notice – loss of deposit.

COVID-19 RISK FREE CANCELLATIONS

In the case that government regulations related to COVID-19 restrict free circulation or the opportunity to travel and you are forced to cancel your reservation, we will reimburse 100% of your deposit.

WE ARE A PET-FRIENDLY House

​

  • There is a 2 pet per room limit, we welcome pets up to 55 pounds.

  • There is an additional charge of £30.00 + tax per pet per day

  • Pets cannot be left unattended in guestrooms.

  • Pets must be leashed while on the hotel property

  • Guests are responsible for cleaning after their pets

  • Additional fees may apply if the damage is found in the room upon check out

  • Service pets may accompany guests with disabilities

  • Please understand that should your pet disturb other house guests; St Martins House will have no other choice but to refuse further accommodation for your pet.
